A Winter Wedding at The Old Lodge, Minchinhampton, Gloucestershire
A chilly but bright day in late November saw the wedding of Julian and Lauren at the very lovely Old Lodge on Minchinhampton Common in the heart of the Cotswolds.
Lauren’s family all came over from the USA for the wedding , indeed Julian and Lauren also traveled as they both work in Germany. Julian’s family are local to Minchinhampton and knew the Old Lodge would be the perfect place for their son’s wedding.
The winter wedding ceremony was held as the sun was fading over the Cotswold hills which made for a beautiful backdrop.
A real mix of traditions were on display here including the greeting of the newlywed couple by both sets of parents during the ceremony, heartfelt speeches, a beautiful first dance and – something I love to see – the father of the bride dancing with his daughter.
It was a fantastic day with the staff at the lodge doing an amazing job – all of the guests had a great time and were heartily dancing the night away as I left.
Wishing Julian and Lauren a wonderful life together and a Very Happy New Year.
