What to expect
I recognise that this is your day and so it is important that you have a great relationship with me that will be there for the duration of your wedding planning, your wedding day and also after your wedding. I will answer questions and offer guidance on any aspect of your wedding photography (or any aspect of your wedding for that matter – I really do love talking all things weddings).
My pre-wedding and post wedding service are as important to me as the wedding day itself, I am always just a phone call and a coffee away.
All weddings are individual, unique and of course beautiful, and as such you can expect the following from me.

We have an initial discussion after you have found and contacted me – please do let me know how you found out about me so I know where those marketing blood, sweat and tears have worked. This early discussion can be on the phone, Skype, FaceTime or face to face as soon as we have confirmed availability for your date. No obligation at all of course.

We meet face to face so I can hear lots more about your plans for your day. I will also discuss how I work to capture you day and show you more examples of my most recent weddings.
I do recommend you see a number of photographers as we all have different styles and personalities. Of course at the end of this process I hope that you pick me but don’t be afraid to let me know you have selected someone else. You are so lucky in this area to have so many amazing photographers to choose from. It has to be the photographer that “feels” right to you and offers the service you want for your day.

If you decide to book with me then firstly I’ll do a very happy dance, then I will send you a wedding agreement containing the terms and conditions (which can also be viewed in the client lounge) and pricing. I ask for a 25% booking fee to secure your date, payment options are pretty much all of the standard payment types including bank transfer, debit cards, credit cards or cheque – all apart from cake or wine – although I’m still considering those!
Once your date is confirmed and booked the next step is to relax and congratulate yourself on a job well done. You have ticked off another significant “to do” on your wedding plan.

A pre-wedding photo shoot is complimentary, I find this stage invaluable as it gives us a chance to get to know each other ahead of your day. You can see how I am behind the camera and I can capture some lovely shots of the two of you both to keep.
I have a studio in Minchinhampton, where I normally split the pre-wedding shoot between my studio and the beautiful outside locations on or around Minchinhampton Common. However, you are more than welcome to request the shoot take place at a location that is important to you, such as where your proposal took place. or somewhere else that is special to you both.
All of the hand edited images are yours to keep from the session and I’ll even create a complimentary signing board ready for your guests to sign at your wedding.
Examples of some recent engagement / pre-wedding photo shoots can be seen on my blog.

Four weeks before the wedding the final balance is due – this can be paid earlier if required or in instalments – just give me a call to discuss.

I will be chatting to you at this point and sharing ideas via pinterest for your wedding photographs. I will also be asking for final timings of the day – nothing too formal or detailed – usually start time. location for bridal preparation etc. I will also ask you for your formal / must have photo list for me to capture on the day. Please bear in mind that I will capture your story but I do recommend that you have some family shots e.g. your two families together, generation photo, bride with bridesmaid, groom with best man and ushers etc – don’t worry I’ll give you a list of ideas.

Wedding rehearsal, if you are having a church ceremony then normally a day or so before the wedding you have a rehearsal, I like to attend this so I can have a brief chat to the vicar about where I can stand during the service.

The big day has arrived.
I will turn up at the agreed time to capture bridal preparation. I will be with you for the rest of the day and most of the evening, but I stress I will not be interrupting your day, I will be unobtrusive but always there for questions, encouragement and a big smile, I will be working at capturing all of those beautiful moments of your day.
At some point in the evening – well after the first dance, usually around 10pm, I will come over to you to let you know I am leaving and to have a hug with the bride and a firm handshake with the groom. You will then carry on with the party to the small hours I’m sure.
I will return home and do a backup of all the photographs, to my editing suite, to a further backup hard disk and to a memory stick which goes into a fire safe until your wedding photographs have been fully edited and delivered to you. I know how precious these images are!

I will send you access details for the gallery which you can share with family and friends and also send you a USB with all of your high resolution photographs for you to share and enjoy always.
To see what your USB looks like please see the image at the top of the page or go here for further information..
